This seems to be becoming your new party trick. Do they taste any better this time around?

[ before he grabs one of his little jello containers and pops the top of it off. ] Only one way to find out, right? I've learned they're called 'jello shots', made of a gelatin and vodka, and apparently, the trick is to loosen it around the outside and then take it as you would any other shot.

Or, this. [ he squeezes the one in his hand, the plastic crinkles, and om nom jello shot. grape. delicious. ]

[ That's hot Gu Yun. Molly doesn't bother examining it much either. Just following the example and using a nail to loosen the edges and tossing it back. It's very sweet, so it's not like it's hard to get down.]

Oh, wonderful. I've had something similar actually - local speciality, not the amazing color - but I did wake up naked in a hayloft with a new tattoo, so we'll see where this goes.

[ chug, chug, chug, says the man who doesn't know what chugging is. but regardless, yuri plucks the cap off of his little pot and. well. it's somewhere between the "squeeze the tub until the shot falls out" approach and the "delicately loosen the shot with a nail" approach, but it gets the job done. ]

Still something slightly off about it. But the more you have something, the more you get used to it, right?

You do get a tolerance for things, hence why you have to constantly be finding new things! Then it’s all just as exciting as the first time.

That's what I was trying for. [ to molly's question. ] The color's right, the consistency's wrong, and the taste is likely very improved. [ gu yun has never licked ziliujin, because it would probably kill you and also taste gross? also like, why, what a waste of ziliujin.

jello shots, however! are delicious. ] I haven't tried to create anything else, just yet, but I imagine the results would be similar. In terms of kidnappings or vacations, I've had worse.

A game of bullshit. We take go around in turns. On your turn, you say a fact about yourself. The other two will decide whether or not it is the truth or a lie, and if they believe it is a lie you yell BULLSHIT! at the accused. If they’re correct and you were lying, you take the shot. If you were telling the truth, the accuser must drink instead.

[ there's a sudden, immediate clatter of markers before gu yun gets to say much to that - he doesn't jump, though instinctually, he bats the closest one to him away from smacking him on the head, sending it launching across the room. whoops. ]

What did you try to make! [ rip to the shot too, wow. gu yun picks up one of the spare markers, a thing he has never seen in his life, and gives it a wiggle. ] I think that game sounds incredible - let's. Care to start?

[Wow. Anyway, yeah. Of course it’s a way to get drunk and nosey at the same time. What drinking game isn’t. Anyway, sure. He’ll start, sitting up on his haunches, preparing the shot just in case.]

This coat isn’t mine. We were invited to do a show for the court of a local duchy and while the Knot Sisters were in the middle of the Zemnian Butterfly, I snuck into the bedchambers of the duchess, picked up her finest overcoat and leapt out the window.

[ gu yun taps the edge of the pen against his cheek, still capped. ] I'll call bullshit, even if I want it to be true.

Then he just takes a jello shot and downs it.]

[ hmmm. there's a pause while he apparently sorts through all the sordid and exciting tales of his life... or puts together an appropriate lie, who can say? ]

One of my... friends, I guess you could call her. She's a bit literal minded. Or just dense, depending on the time of day you ask me.

She went to the trouble of creating a spell from scratch to make boots taste like liquorice, just because I told her if she wanted a chance in hell of restoring her household back to nobility she should consider tonguing a few noble's boots in the process.
