[eventually, a few hours later, she comes back to winter.

and when she does, she just, immediately and loudly:] Caleb? Molly?

Beauregard?

[He's out in one of the tents with Molly, I think. But when he hears her voice, he's glancing out.]

Beauregard, is that you?

[headmt]

[he's just sitting there, staring at fireflies or off into space, occasionally muttering a little to himself.

He doesn't look up when she says some names.[

[she heads back towards the tents, rubbing at her eyes with the back of her arm.]

Yeah. It's me. [she pauses a little ways away from them, and, upon seeing molly:] Fuck.

You remember? Or our names were in your notes?

[He's just sitting there with him, being sad, but he'll go to her.]

[ Well he does look over when she looks directly at him and says fuck. And then makes a face like a skunk is in the room. But then it's back to staring off into space.

He's definitely muttering empty over and over. So that's fun.]

she scowls at that face that this asshole tiefling gives her, and then:]

... You're in my notes, like, a fucking lot. [...] Sorry.

. . . It's alright.

[He softens a little. Even if she doesn't remember, her attitude at least feels familiar. I half expected you to think, why this guy.]

It only lasted a day or two for Kon and Lucretia, yes? He is, uhm, especially affected - I'm not sure there's any sense in trying to remind him of anything.

[ Yeah sometimes you just have a really bad time when you get your memories fucked with. Still, when Kon is mentioned, he'll look over. ]

[And then it's back to staring at his hands.]

[she's holding a piece of paper in her hands - crumpled up a bit, but. kind of like a lifeline.]

... Is it because of the guy possessing him? Is that why he can't remember as much, or... [a beat.] I gave myself short and long notes and didn't think to look for the short ones when we were all in the classroom. This was in my pocket.

[waves the paper.]

I can fill you in on anything you didn't write down, most likely.

[He's calmed down a little from his meltdown before; Beau actually believing her notes and wanting to listen to him makes him feel slightly less alone with this.]

I think this is just. . . something that happens to him. I don't understand it either, but he is harmless. We just have to wait for it to wear off of both of you.

[It's fucking weird is what it is. He seems like he's vaguely listening to all of this though, until he gets up and just starts to

wander off? Okay.]

[no?? beau startles, and shoves the note into caleb's hand before grabbing for molly. she doesn't know him, but she knows he probably shouldn't wander off by himself.]

[Well, he honestly glances at this note she handed him and then bluescreens a little because it's very sweet. But then following after.]

. . . Mollymauk, come back, please.

[ Wrangled. Fine. Fine! He huffs. So at least he's still got that.

Just going to sit back down where he's put, though now he's also giving Caleb a weird look?]

[as beau is wrangling, she just sort of thinks Gods, this guy is sad, no wonder I'm not supposed to leave him alone, absently. she will just flop down next to molly, staring at him for a second.]

... It'll wear off eventually. [she says, finally. I hope.]

[He hears that but like. That's fair, Beau. That's fair. Anyway, he's giving Molly a look back.]

. . . Mollymauk. He wanted to remember that was his name.

[Now he's just getting stared at by these two weirdos and he shifts, a little uncomfortable. But also finally, for the first time in probably a few hours, he has a whole ass thought. Cards.

And sort of does a little jump like he didn't expect to? Have that? Weird. Digging in his pockets and starting to flip through the tarot. They are all covered in fucking glitter, by the way!]

[Fucking tarot cards, might be predictably the first thought in her head when she sees them, but then: Deserve the glitter. Wait, what? Why.

a beat.]

Mollymauk. [she repeats, rubbing at her neck.] And Caleb. I've got like a shitton of pictures of you both too. It's fucking bizarre when the only thing I know about you guys is your names.

... There's other shit missing too. Not just you.

For the last this happened to, it was all people important to them, who were forgotten. So if you do not recognize someone, try to keep that in mind.

[He will go over to look at Molly's cards, if he's trying to show him.]

. . . But we are the two you know from home.

[headmt]

[He actually looks up when she says his name this time. He's just shuffling through the deck, a little frantic - there's a lot of new ones in there, half-sketches and half-not. And then he'll pull out ... perhaps predictably Magician and Rumor. See. He took notes too.]

... Was my dad important to me? [she sounds sort of skeptical, considering her lack of notes on him, but. she gets distracted by molly.

this is very sweet... beau squints at the cards.]

You're the Magician. [she says, glancing at Caleb.]

Ah, hmm. Important is difficult to answer. You have a complicated relationship with him. [A pause.] As Yamato says, he is an asshole. You have a very young brother, though. [As far as family goes, there's at least one positive thing to remember.

He looks at the two cards.]

Ja. And you are Rumor.

[headmt]

[He hands you those. Hold onto them like nametags. While y'all having this sad conversation, Molly is just sorting through the rest of his cards, but he seems a little more ... active, now? The mumbling of empty continues.]

[she just looks down at the rumor card, almost confused. why do I hate these so much...]

I remember my brother. [she says absently.] Or - that I have one.

There's a couple people that I don't remember that I don't have very extensive notes on. Seems - weird. To me. If I cared about them I would've written something down, right?
