I got locked in the simulation room last night when the doors closed with a few others. It stopped working, and when we woke up, it was like this. You all can't see them falling, right? Just on me?
[ among other things. he. makes a face at the taste, part? but okay. he doesn't want to know, he will trust molly's good judgement, and he's the last person to judge about people using their senses. (honestly, he just pictures mahito licking it or something, since that feels right.) ] And...
I wonder, is all. Lust's tattoo is a bit like hearts, isn't it? Not that I think they did it, or anything of the like.
[ ... but the connection... he can't ignore that, either.
he sighs, reaching up to pluck another flower petal out of his hair. ] I was in the simulation room. I went back in to check it, and more flowers fell on my head. [ sniff. ] This is taking the northwestern flower a bit too literally.
...But how odd, that we can only see hints of what may have happened.
But you're wondering if it might be someone connected to that group?
[ dazed!molly is... definitely concerning. yuri almost wants to lean over and wave a hand in front of his face, but that seems disorienting and rude, so he just sinks back into the cushions. ]
You were both outside of regular rooms then. And... things outside of those rooms acted up last night?
[ ... ]
I didn't see anything, or experience anything strange. But I was in a regular room last night.[ ... ] Well, nothing strange apart from what we found after the body announcement.
gu yun taps his thumb against his device, one more time, before eventually going back to look at the terrible scrambled messages from the evening before. ]
I'm not sure, but it's a possibility. I tried to reach out too - last night and today. Medb said it was likely the issues between the different parts of this place last night were connected due to them being on the same network. [ not that. gu yun knows anything about networks. it sounded right to him, though? context clues are a ye oldes best friend.
he watches the drink pass between them for a moment, eyes a little dark, expression more thoughtful. the marquis of order, in the flesh. ]
...While I'm not one to reject a swan feather from a thousand miles, [ don't look a gift horse in the mouth ] I was wondering when the other shoe was going to drop, so to speak. It did seem rather to good to be true, to meet people from universes all over and be asked to drink to my heart's content to gain a desire of my own.
[ gu yun sighs, reaching for the bottle when molly's done. terrible. ]
A network...? [ he's... immediately just thinking of nets. what is a network. ]
Maybe it wasn't meant to be. But if you tell a group of people to "indulge" in any way possible, someone's going to get creative with it. Then again, there was a specific reference to death, and justice in that welcome guide we were given. So they might have had something in mind for if it came to this...?
[ he can't say. they don't really know anything that happened -- with the death, or anything about the fine details of why they're here, other than for their wishes. he just watches the bottle get passed around with a slight frown on his face. ]
[He'll hand it over to gu yun once he's done, but he looks a bit disconcerted at both of these statements. Gang?]
I won't say I didn't think there'd be some sort of twist, but-- You really think if people get together, the inevitable outcome is killing each other? Every time?
I won't say the Avatars didn't say some concerning things, and fuck if I can't think of myself as stupid for being surprised, but I didn't want to be proven right about that.
It's not so much that - I definitely don't find that indulgent. What we've done so far has worked quite fine for me, and I'd be happy to continue on the way we have. [ he wrinkles his nose a little, at the idea, and takes the bottle to take a swig. really, the point of indulging here is not dealing in killing people... ] It's more that it all felt too good to be true. I suppose someone had to ruin it.
[ there's a pause. he swishes the remaining liquid around in the bottle, before ultimately deciding its too sweet and passing it on to someone else. ] The reason I agreed to come here is not a desire easily granted. I wouldn't have agreed, otherwise. [ the black iron camp can't be without its commander, after all! ] I imagine many of us are the same.
How easy is it to create enough indulgence to power all of those desires into being? How can indulgence magically create the resources to let those things happen?
...I've been wondering if there's a limit, to just how many desires they can actually grant.
Let's be honest, we don't know much about anyone here. You bring a group of people together and maybe you'll get lucky and they'll all be decent and everyone will have a good time. Or maybe you'll get a few people who have creative interpretations of the rules, and are willing to push them to their boundaries.
... And what I want isn't something easily granted either. [ he'll take that bottle from gu yun and sip it before continuing. ] I'd already wondered if they were tracking our indulgences, how much we do and what we do, like some sort of scoring system? But... maybe there's another layer to it
If you really want it, you have to earn it. But through harder means than just keep your Avatar happy and have a fun time doing so.

What's with the-- [Gestures.] Are you summoning something?

[ fuckin MAGIC ]

Aside from that, nothing else happened of any note? [ ... he glances over at molly as well, as a thought occurs: ]
And is there anything weird happening to you that isn't immediately apparent?
no subject
I'm seeing things too. Or. Feeling things too, it isn't just a vision. We touched it.
[He pauses for a bit?]
Blood, on the elevator. In heart shapes. And all the stars in the Planetarium . . . Fucked is what it is.

[ ... ]
Was it at random, or were they in a pattern?

[ ... he takes the drink back and sips. ]
I don't have any weird things happening to me. Where were you both when the doors locked, anyway?
no subject
It-- I don't think it had a pattern. When I touched it and wiped some away, more just appeared. Apparently the taste is real.
[not explaining how he knows that.]
I was in the Planetarium.

[Just distracted mostly. Holding out a hand for the bottle again? Share share share.]
Not like we can ask them. Lust or anyone. They aren't answering.
[Molly notes that Yuri says a regular room and not this regular room, but doesn't comment. That's valid, get it, Yuri.]
