Nothing says you can't be both, your majesty. [he does not believe molly's royalty but he'll play alone anyway.] What would you call it then? Beauregard mentioned it but I thought I'd ask you anyway.
[also hm, maybe he'll go back to the profile questions later after all.]
You can do the same if you wanna even the playing field. [so yeah. it's comparing notes but it's also really just taichi being curious about other worlds and how it all compares.]
What kind of goals are those then? Besides stealing stuff from dragons.
[There's a brief moment where he tilts his head and his tail flicks, but it drops quickly, just looking amused instead.]
Interesting locales? Gold? Perhaps a bit of problem avoidance, but I wouldn't be the one to call it out. If you're prone to wandering, a group is certainly safer.
[wow, two for two. he doesn't seem to notice the tail flick (or he's choosing to ignore it) but he thinks that over.]
I don't disagree with that. [...] I'm still trying to figure out if there's a reason the people that showed up were brought here, but others weren't. That's why I'm asking around.
You three, Claude knows two people, Adora and Catra are from the same place, Kaine said that someone knew her even before she introduced herself, and then there's me and Yamato. Three seems to be the max from each world.
So the only theory I even have isn't even a theory. Somebody wants something from us but they haven't told us what it is yet.
No I mean everybody else is the only person from their own world. It's never more than three even though there are a few of us who come from bigger groups.
So okay. What do you think you have that someone would want for themselves?
[this question could be framed more nicely but whatever.]
And I mean that I've never seen most of you in my life, but it doesn't you aren't from the same world. There's a lot of people out there, and I haven't met most of them.
[He raises his eyebrows at that second question, but he looks off as he thinks about it.]
No idea! Good looks? Charming company. Fantastic horns.
[There's a moment where he opens his mouth to say something, stops, then squints at this Child and tries to figure out how old he is before he decides against saying something.]
[there's a sound of agreement like "the joys of text to speech."]
I've had more luck with Viola than anything. I think she really wants to share everything she knows. But I did get Chad to agree to hang out with me next week, so maybe it'll be easier in person.
[given he's been called out a few different times for disregarding people's privacy he does relax a little when Molly says that. ]
I don't like being someplace without information. If they're our resources right now, I want to know as much as I can to figure out what to do next. And it's better to know as much about them before things get too far. [that way you can decide if you can trust them officially or not. ]
[Molly isn't much of an information digger, that tends to be the other two. So he's a little out of his element here, but ... ]
Suppose my only advice would be that sometimes you aren't going to get to find everything out before things start shaking. Have to just be able to trust your gut on certain things.
[sometimes your resident nerd who does all of the research isn't here, so as the leader you default to digging yourself. it's fine.]
I think I have a lot of people who would tell me to use my gut less. [there's a slight grin.] Even if I wonder how much we'll find out even when things start happening, it's not bad advice, so...thanks.
no subject
[...as a chance of subject though:] Would you call yourself a mercenary, too?
[beau told him things and now he's just asking to figure out how those three are even friends. it's fine.]
no subject
[But he's mostly teasing. But he thinks, tapping his chin.]
Thought I told you I was royalty ... ? But suppose I've done some sellsword work most recently. Not sure it's what I'd call myself. Seems limiting!
no subject
[also hm, maybe he'll go back to the profile questions later after all.]

[He's grinning a little though.]
Suppose we're a disparate collective with similar goals?

What kind of goals are those then? Besides stealing stuff from dragons.

Any theories?

So the only theory I even have isn't even a theory. Somebody wants something from us but they haven't told us what it is yet.

And that much is obvious. Everyone always wants something. Way of the world.

Guess you could ask the principal if we ever get to meet the guy. If he even exists.
no subject
Apparently he's a bear. Actually a bear?
no subject
[and also, why.]
no subject
Can't say I've had the pleasure, myself.
no subject
You're also not missing out on much. [although, as a segue...] Have you talked to Chad at all since the forum thing? Or any of the dorm heads?
no subject
Hard to get a bead on that one. The others I think are a little easier.
no subject
I've had more luck with Viola than anything. I think she really wants to share everything she knows. But I did get Chad to agree to hang out with me next week, so maybe it'll be easier in person.

[That seems to be his opinion on Viola so far.]
Big a digger, aren't you?
no subject
[a tilt of the head.]
What do you mean? [he says that, but in a way that says he already knows what molly's getting at.]
no subject
['tis the crux of a cold reading.]
I don't mean it in a bad way.
