[I assume that, perhaps, they are in the dorm. Molly is flopped out on one of the couches, listening to ... something text to speech on his phone. But it's up by his ear. Pulling a face.]

Well. Certainly ruins my good time with the names at least.

[they are in fact in the dorm and taichi's sprawled out on the floor, idly scrolling through his phone. he doesn't look up from the screen, but:]

Is that what that was all about? I've heard at least three different names for you in the last three days.

Which one's your favorite?

I'll be honest? Esma was the easiest to remember. [shrug!]

Mollymauk sounds more like a fortune-telling name though.

Was Esma what I said? Really?

[He clicks his tongue. Boring.]

Suppose Mollymauk is fine for now. Molly's just fine with me too, for the record.

Yeah, but I didn't think it mattered when I already knew your name. [shrug!] But good to know.

[a glance at molly's phone though.] Did you see the directory? How much of it is actually true?

[He raises his eyebrows, looking at him carefully.]

You did?

[But, he puts down the phone for the moment.]

Some of it is, some of it isn't. You asking about anything in particular?

w1 friday

[the geese have probably wandered off, so it means taichi will enter the dorm while it's quiet. give him some time to chill, wonder what the fuck happened last night, and maybe make some coffee. as he exits though, he will notice mollymauk in his general vicinity and nod a greeting.]

Hey. [he's not the most polite person, always, but he doesn't mind saying hello to someone he's on okay terms with.]

[Molly is just sitting and listening to texts on his phone - so there's a bit of a robotic ramble as it goes, but he turns it off once he's addressed.]

Hey. You, uh-- See anything interesting? That seems to be the question going around.

Weirdly well-behaved geese? Think I heard something about a weight missing from the gym, too. And a bunch of footprints. [he just sounds kind of tired.]

So guess that means we're in for another trial with that dumb bear.

This place does seem to enjoy its scheduling ...

[So that's pretty much an agreement.]

Think they'll plead "illness" this time?

Maybe. Depends. [scheduling bad...] Have you tried contacting Chad or the others? He was with us last night which is an improvement, but...

[if they only have principal bear tomorrow he will possibly shit a brick.]

Sent something, didn't get that weird message back. Something about meetings and such-- Did you talk to them last week, about what the illness was like? Chad doesn't remember anything, and they only gave them a short description of what happened.

Then seems like they're all more involved this week.

w2 monday

[it's probably obvious by now that taichi didn't wake up in spring dorm this morning. but a little later in the day he seems to be approaching spring dorm to see who's around and lingering. he isn't sure if mollymauk's leaving or coming from the dorm, but upon spotting him he lifts a hand to wave.]

Hey. Morning.

[it might be closer to afternoon at this point? we just don't know.]

[He's on the way back at this point! Sort of picking what looks like feathers out of his coat.]

Mornin'. Ah-- Can I even speak to you? Aren't we sworn enemies now?

[feathers...molly...

but taichi shrugs instead.]

Something like that, but figured I'd call a truce this morning. I'd apologize for joining the traitor's side but...[he's not that sorry.]

[Feathers! They're orange though. Don't worry about it.]

Tell you what, if you can get the toilet seat back, we'll call it even.

Well I found where they're keeping it, so I just have to figure out a way to grab it and bring it back. It doesn't seem like it's too damaged.

Not a bad set up though over there.

Well I've heard the couches are something else, so, surely the rest of it must be to.

A bit belated, but I hear I owe you a thanks?

[it's so belated because I was being beaten to death by life, but. FINALLY.]

we didn't think there was another option besides bringing you back

I spoke to Yamato earlier in the week. I might have teared up a little, which is, of course, always embarrassing, but I trust you won't call me out on it.

I'm fine. Or better than that? Alive? And Beauregard is still alive, so there's that as well.

consider it already forgotten and everything
but good. the goal is to keep the three of you alive, so we're at least doing well with that much
we were a little worried something would happen but it's good to see you still here
...the daycare said they're glad to see you came back safe. lan wangji sends his regards and stuff

yamato and i don't really go around bringing the dead back
so we were hoping you'd still...you know. be yourself? have your memories of this place? that kind of stuff
but yeah. i found a few letters in my mailbox this morning from them. they're doing okay from what i can tell
i think you coming back was a lot more helpful than you think though
