[He's alright, right now. There's something about being right here, held like this, that makes it difficult to worry too much about anything else for the moment. One wrong vote, or other looming threats, or vague, far-off worries about maybe never getting to experience it again. Selfishly taking what he can, while he can.
There's a brief thought like maybe he should say something. How just last week he'd felt so sick on this same sort of night, thinking about how he couldn't leave things unsaid. But he doesn't, for the moment.]
[ for a little while, he settles into this, this content, gentle sort of atmosphere. his fingers soothe through molly's hair, gently following the pattern of now familiar curls, petting him like an overgrown cat. gu yun is always thinking - his mind's always a step or five ahead of where he's standing, and he's running through a mental list of their participants and the likelihood of how they vote, or what arguments might have to be made - but despite that, his emotions stay steady and calm. content, really, despite the promise of harder liquor and their usual brand of foolishness.
just like last week; sometimes it's nice to just be like this. just relax, darling. monday, it had been more difficult than it should have been. right now, as he slowly lets the train of thought for tomorrow drift away, it's not so hard.
maybe he's learned, at least a little, how to relax after all. (maybe it's also just a little easier, now that there's not as much potential of being caught.) ]
[He just likes this, even though it's very unfair to make gu yun stand there and pet him while he just gets to relax, clinging to him a bit like a child.
Eventually, he pulls his head up, resting his chin against him and looking up at him and grinning for a second before he totally pulls back - reaching over for the tequila bottle. spinning the top off and holding it up.]
To Childe. May he leave it better than he found it with a feckin' no vote.

it’s unfortunate, how when molly looks up, his emotions do a small, warm flip— and he catches himself smiling before he’s ready to. molly pulling back has him grinning, though, a moment to put that gently on a shelf. ]

[ amusement lights up his face at the reaction, just briefly, but, gu yun takes the bottle and lifts it in a mock toast - cheers to that - then does the same, taking a swig. tequila is strong, and it burns on the way down, but, a shots worth is plenty good.
