[ hey there. Molly will try and catch him while he's maybe still out and about at some point, since they haven't spoken before, but ... no time like the present? ]
Managing well enough. These trips never really go easy on us.
[ Jin is of course here with Dokja, the white nine-tailed fox daemon raising her head at Molly but nothing aggressive or threatening. just a curious fox! ]
I've yet to hear anyone having had a good time with theirs. I've been sent to the bottom of the sea by a leviathan and brought to Hell. This recent excursion to an island is probably the closest thing to a nice trip and even that didn't go so well.
[ i personally think it would be so funny if one group geuninely had a nice trip while everyone else got f*cked up.
Jin sways her tails as she approaches, giving his hand some sniffs before bumping her muzzle against it with a soft yip. ]
[ wherever they are!! Dokja is here, calling out as soon as he sees him with a friendly smile, but Jin is... well. the white nine-tailed fox daemon's fur fluffs a bit and she emits a warning growl. ]
Hope you don't plan to throw more things at me. [ teasingly ]
I don't know, I really don't have any control over her?
[ lips quirk in amusement, he really doesn't seem offended or bothered to be accused. Jin still growls for a moment longer but her ear flicks and she settles beside Dokja quietly, watching closely. ]
I had figured you were working with Emet-Selch. [ he really likes to read into everything. ] Unfortunate that you were looking at the wrong person.
Don't make it sound like a conspiracy! He just was the strongest looking person I could probably get to do something with two seconds of notice who wouldn't question my insane ideas!
Fair enough, he does seem the type to be thorough.
[ he hums, looking to contemplate. ]
I think Dimitri Blaiddyd was on the right track. That it was someone we weren't really looking at. [ suspicion/suspect wise. ] So there was probably something we might not have paid closer attention to in our checks. Hard to say who though, I didn't really have the opportunity to go snooping around.
I keep thinking about the hint we were given as well. [ THE CREATURE... ]
If you didn't really want to get caught, there's nothing stopping you from wearing clothes or even shoes not your own. Especially if you want to try framing someone and everything is unlocked. We were aware that a few people had their shoes stolen.
[ gestures to his own boring black ass shoes. ] We had multiple cases back in our game where people would plant false evidence- a lot of them were footprints. Course, if someone was parading around in shoes smaller or larger than their foot size, there would be evidence of it.
Eh, those were real. I'm pretty sure of it. We had other people get their boots stolen, and so if another person had their shoes stolen why would they just ... not say anything?
If the pattern is three every time, there might not have been another. [ that he's agreeing on, assuming the pattern is actually consistent. ] But if it was just the shoes themselves, it could have been more than just that. Maybe we needed a closer look at feet.
[ molly's probably a wee bit hard to find, but if KDJ is looking for him, he'll eventually run across his room with the door open a crack. Frumpkin, who was sitting outside, slips inside as soon as he sees someone approach. ]
[ who just leaves their door open like this... Jin is with him, the nine-tailed fox daemon curious and peeking in as soon as she watches the cat slip into the room.
he isn't an animal like yjh though so Dokja will not be barging in unannounced. instead, he'll knock lightly on the cracked open door. ]
[ with the invitation, he comes in and glances briefly at the desk he's at. ]
Working on something? [ an assumption or the man is just doing some sitting which. understandably after today. Jin curiously sniffs at the air but she stays obediently by Dokja's side and doesn't wander.
Dokja's posture and tone are the same as in his questioning earlier. calm. observing. ]
Shadow. Though I don't have any way to prove that beyond my word, which I realize is not exactly solid right now. Makes sense to me, considering Dimitri seemed to know something was going on with Sylvain.
That's fine, I believe you. [ and even if it wasn't a shadow, Dokja doesn't sound like he would judge. so he truly could be lying and kdj is like "ok" ]
Well... there was our last conversation where I suggested maybe we needed to check people's feet. Diluc Ragnvindr had been guilty of that with his case. [ me: maybe it's... feet crime... you: NO MORE FEET. anyways it's said a bit amused cause yeah they. really do be missing things without thorough checks i'm in tears. ]
...For the record, as I told her, I do not aim to revenge kill. I'm sure my companions are in the same agreement.
At least for Emet-Selch's case, I had assumed it was either a room key or a locket power. [ because kdj briefly humored the idea of going after emet (help) and knew that large man needed an accomplice in murder or a strong power to kill ]
A locket is much more obvious in finding out. I just ended up being lucky when I chose to look at yours. [ more like im stupid and didnt realize harrow also didnt have hers, how do people juggle 20+ tabs ]

I've spoken with Harrowhark Nonagesimus before coming here. [ so he's learned some things already ] However, I would like to hear from you. Did you?

Aye. Yeah. Emet - for the record.

You lot should check people's clothes at trial.

[ don't brag about this molly. ]
Yeah? I mean. Who knows what'll happen when Shadows are in play, but, 'preciate it either way.

[ but kdj sounds a bit amused at that mention. he nods ]
No, there's no saying if the shadow decides to force us to act, but I'd rather attack more directly at the heart of it than at each other.
[ he sounds so bitter towards the host. ]
