Well, with me, I think we sort of wore one another down over time. [He reaches and sort of hovers his hand over her shoulder.] Is it okay if I put my hand here?

[He'll slow down to let Caleb put a hand on her shoulder before he keeps leading her up the stairs, slowly.]

S'nice in here. Haven't been in this dorm before.

I like it here, yeah. [sniff.] There's a girl I was gonna bring over to hang out with that's on campus. Really tall, black hair, white on the ends. I met her here.

[That's sweet, actually, even if it's clear Beau's head is being fucked with.]

[she makes a face at molly.]

I'm a fucking gentleman. [anyway - she will grab the glasses and give them to molly, even if it takes her a bit because she has like ten hit points.

and then, a little more quietly to the two of them:]

Okay. I need to go give Luke something for your ears in a little while, though. So you have it fixed up before curfew.

[But that can wait for a little bit.]

[Taking the glasses and trying them on!! And then taking them off and shoving them into the pocket of his coat, patting it. Got it.]

... Starting to really hate this being separated thing. It's every fucking week, worse.

[she can hear if she tilts her head in a certain direction because one ear is less fucked up, so she keeps doing that when she sees their lips moving.]

Yeah. [she doesn't let go of either of them but she definitely needs to sit down again.] I don't, uh. I like it here? In this dorm, but the separation thing is not great, you're right.

... Guess there's not much we can do if we're together anyway.

I don't want to leave fall, either. I feel somehow that it's good to uhm, be there, but I also. . . I don't know.

In a way, I feel it would be worse to go to sleep and wake up to someone missing.

[A bit of a rueful smile:] You mean like before? With Lorenzo?

[He'll help her sit down if she needs to - just flopping next to her on whatever bunk bed is available. Unless Beau has the queen room all to herself, I don't know her life.]

Pulled the Journey for myself earlier, was thinking it might be time for a shake-up anyway. Maybe I come crash with one of you.

[nah she has a bunk, so she sits and coughs a little to cover the pained noise.

a beat, and then she sort of laughs, leaning against molly a bit.]

Choose fucking wisely, you're picking a side on the dorm war. [this is mostly a joke though.] Come to winter. Fall already has everybody I worry about, I'd like to have some fucking peace of mind.

[He's a little quiet in response.]

. . . Yeah, you could go where you like. It's not so bad here. Though there are some good people at Fall, too.

You're right, it is serious. There are battle lines here.

[He snorts, and flops backwards, hands over his stomach, tail lazily swishing. This probably makes it harder for Beau to hear but it isn't like the conversation is that important.]

anyway, she's quiet for now she looks up at caleb, frowning slightly. mostly like she's calculating.]

[What, it's fine, he just blatantly didn't really extend an invite to Molly. That's probably because he doesn't want him there and not for extremely stupid Caleb reasons or something.]

Maybe we all just go to Summer? There's a bar. And a beach. Everywhere else is cold as balls.

[Molly's gone quiet at this point too, just pulling out his cards and starting to shuffle through them between his hands.]
