Then another, and another and another until it’s all down the street as doors to buildings and factories start slamming open and a multitude pours out into the street - again, mostly the gnomes, but human and elf and dwarf and halfing mixed in - and the change in tone is immediate. People are obviously hurrying home, tearing off working jackets or letting hair down before pushing through into the crowd or just scattering out to start the festivities, but it’s clear that this is a party.]
[ cover her ears she does, and there her hands stay until the whistles calm down. she wanders a little closer to molly to watch the hustle and bustle around them. ]

Gnomes! And I suppose you could call them friends, I do remember them all so fondly.

The street gets more and more crowded as the bacchanal truly starts to unfold, but the crowd is a mixture of adults and children - some weave past them holding sparklers in the air - and the stalls along the road are starting to put out wares. Knickknacks and gifts, jewelry and more little fireworks. Drinks and food.]
Hupperdook. I thought it might be fun to see it again.
[He beams when Meg goes to get one of the little fireworks herself - it's clear he is very attached to this little memory. Going to grab one for himself too, a little round ball that explodes into glitter and a few cheers from the surrounding crowd when he whips it at the ground.]

[Molly seems to be waiting on something though, he keeps looking up towards the sky, anticipating.]
The best part's coming.
[Then he stops and looks up. A high-pitched whistle pierces the noise, and the crowd quiets down for the moment of anticipation before the deep rumbling BANG of multicolored fireworks erupts across the skyline. The crowd cheers, even louder than before.]

[The fireworks continue on now, a little less than the initial dramatic beginning but they don't seem to stop once they've started. At least in the version of this Molly is summoning.
Besides the gnomes a few other people mill in and about the scene, a human man - red hair, scruff on his face a few days old, coat obviously very worn - presses himself to the glass of a closed bookstore. A man with green skin and dark hair watches the fireworks too, off to the side near a stall.]
