But Primrose hums a little, acknowledgment at the care he takes with her, and lifts her chin. The bracelets clink together faintly as she squeezes his hand. ]
I'll consider it. Now-- [ And she starts them off, slowly, counting each step so Molly knows the pace and also when he should be stepping. Forward, right, together, back, left-- and so on. ]
[Molly jingles a bit when he moves too, the jewelry on his horns, rings on his fingers. He follows with no problem when it's slow like this, tail swishing while he thinks it over.]
A few months... [ Primrose blinks at him, even as she obligingly shifts the speed into a much livelier waltz. She can't count like this, not while they're talking, but it seems as though he speaks truly. He's been able to keep up just fine so far. ]
That's very impressive, Molly. Would that I could claim the same, but it did take me much longer to improve myself and my capabilities.
[ Which she hates to admit, since she's a bit of a perfectionist with so many things. ]
[He does take a few missteps at this point, because, well, he's running his mouth and trying to do this at the same time, but he quickly corrects or does a little shimmy to get back on track.]

[ Primrose is quiet for a minute-- and then she squeezes his hand, still while moving smoothly, but also leans forward-- to lightly knock their foreheads together. ]
I've noticed that you tend to lower yourself in rather subtle ways. And perhaps others have let that slide, but I won't permit it while you're dancing with me.
Your effort and your intelligence, the ability to grasp things quickly, are not things borne entirely of luck. They are your own talents. Accept that or I shall be rather cross with you.
[He opens his mouth, actually, to argue - because there is argument. One that he thinks could be important, and then he misses a step and stumbles a bit. Thinking better of it.]
[ She doesn't want to think that it was remarkably swift of him to agree, like she was expecting protest-- then again, she has to wonder if she just knows too many stubborn types. Even Ophilia was tenacious, in her need to assist others without compromising her values.
There's still too much about Molly that she doesn't know about, so she can't say for certain. But...

[It isn't that he's not stubborn about these things, just that he's more . . . difficult to pin down on them. It's easier to lie and flirt and twist out of the way of it, a whirling dervish, than push back head on to anything he doesn't quite want to face.
