Went through one of these seasons like you did, yeah. Didn't make it to the end, unfortunately, though considering the team that did, I could only be so upset.

Was assigned backstage here afterwards to fulfill my wish contract in another way.

There's - y'know. Fjord said it already. You lose, you get another chance, but you gotta make it all the way to Host in order to get it.

I see. And if you do make it to Host, do you get it automatically, or does it still depend on your team winning?

I think it's just about point accumulation, right? Beau's been at this for a... long time.

It's why, if we can wing it, I'd like to prove that the rumours about the golden season are true, even if Beau doesn't believe it is. The better the season's performance, the more points you attain as an associate of OFMG, which means higher ascension through the ranks: contestant, backstage crew, backstage team lead, front-facing host, contract fulfillment.

That would certainly be ideal. But do you think it will happen on a season where the fans took over the ending like this?

And if we don't attain it, you are going to continue on here until you host?

I'm not sure. That's definitely a portion of what I'm worried about.

And I don't know. If it was at no loss to me, since time doesn't move, then I was considering it. [ Even though Fjord as a front-facing NPC is so much to consider. I guess he'd do alright though. ] Obviously you guys being here changes that. My wish, I can shelve it, or change it.

This was going to be my back-up if checking out the Soltryce Academy didn't work out anyway.

I went there when I was younger, so I know a bit about it.

No? But you're so versed in magic. You didn't pick that up from there?

I did. But, um, it is usually young people they accept. Teenagers, or younger ones at first.

Um, I learned a lot there. But the people in charge of it are, um… I would not put my trust in them. And they are not interested in helping anyone learn about magic who will not go on to serve the Empire’s interests.

That fellow, at the Harvest tournament, who interrogated Yasha so much. Do you remember him? He was a teacher there, when I went.

...Well. That is a relief, at least. One of us will get out of here with something to show for it even if L'Orange pulls off an incredible comeback.
