[It's a sign of something alright! Ever since he watched the very graphic video, Rui has felt very tense. Perhaps that's why when he sees Molly with the cards, he approaches. He hasn't ever put much stock on this stuff before, but...this is an emergency]

[Later, when asked if he was alright by others, even by Akane and Cait Sith, Rui would defensively parry their question by telling them there were more important things than asking Rui how he felt. But to Molly, though, since he's his teammate and someone he has gotten used to seeing around often, he admits:]
Not at all. Truthfully I'm still having a little bit of trouble believing this isn't one big nightmare.
[He really, really wants to wake up and find out Will is asleep there on the couch. But no, that's wishful thinking. He really isn't used to this sort of thing at all]
[Rui takes a rather deep breath, shoulders raising and then lowering, and nods to himself]
Alright. While this is far beyond my zone of comfort, I'll have to cope with it. The majority of stories including tragedies have it as a starting point in a narrative. The end goal is a successful if bittersweet denouement.
Perhaps if I force myself to look at it this way, I can handle it.
