Tell ye the truth, I wasnae convinced the wish thing was real when it was sold to me. But I figured I didnae have much to lose, so I thought I'd try it. And I'm still not entirely convinced, after everything. So when I say I've got a wish, keep in mind it's not the kind I'd do anything to see granted.

But even now I've got two wishes I could make. One's the safe bet, really, stopping a man with the power to destroy our whole planet. The other... [ he looks back up at molly and seems almost sheepish ] It's a selfish thing. About three weeks ago now, right before I landed here, a friend died. And I thought, maybe--a wish could bring her back?
Would you believe I'm in almost exactly the same situation?

... Don't know if it soothes or worries you more, but they said the wishes can be pretty broad. Maybe there's a way to do both, with some clever wording.

And for what it's worth I don't think there's anything wrong with a bit of selfishness. Sometimes it's whats needed.

Ach, trust me, I've been plenty selfish throughout my life. This just feels like the kind of thing I should aspire to be selfless about, maybe. [ to do both, though... he does seem like he's considering that. ] Well, it probably won't matter. We were in last before and I doubt losing more members like this will catapult us into first place.
