anyway there's a little pshhh sound as the mechanism in the back deactivates, and the metal folds back into the back of the armor, crisply putting the wings away, for now. ]
There's a big difference between a type of armor commissioned for my troops, and being asked to go drink all the liquor in the bar by someone who looks as though they've walked out of a fairy tale themselves! I don't think I've ever met anyone quite like you, in all sorts of the word.
[ ... well. it's true.
anyway. ] Alright, enough of that, fall in love with your reflection in a mirror, not on my chest. [ he's going to go set molly down now onto his feet. ]
[back on his feet then! Still a bit entranced by his own reflection, but he's mostly moved on to just preening, fixing his hair and readjusting some of his jewelry - unhooking his hoop earrings from chains and danglies where they've gotten all out of sorts from being dropped.]
Yes, well, you certainly gave me a warm reception. Can't say there haven't been some bars I haven't been chased out of for looking like I do even at home.
It did give me a bit of a start at first. [ to say the least!!! he thought molly was some sort of illusion on first sight, honestly. ] But, I'd take you over the lauded sorts of donkey monks and politicians around Jiangbei near any day, so. Their loss.
[ the little jingly noises are usually very charming, but at the moment, they're kind of irritating. gu yun takes his attention away from it, though, instead going to start to unlatch the golden box of ziliujin at the back of his armor, reaching around to check the supply. it is fake, but the armor reacts real enough that he's running a bit low after all of that, so. it's much easier to busy himself with the armor than it is to continue to be a cranky little crockpot. ]
This place can likely dream up a suit for you to try on, if you'd like to try it on your own sometime. Doesn't usually come standard with a tail hole, though.
[ there are all kinds of fun things! it's mostly just bows on bows on bows. the fancy explosive ones like the one he accidentally yeeted across the room earlier included. lots of trinkets. he's really been in here for like an hour just shooting targets.
gu yun reaches back briefly crack his neck, replacing the lid on the supply and making his way over, as loudly as anyone would dressed in armor. stealth lowered...the noise is once again, annoying, but he ignores it the best he can, leaning against the closest structure to watch him pick through them. ]
You picked one of those up before like you knew it. Can you shoot alright?
It's the same for me. I prefer to be up close and personal.
[ it is a lot easier to fight an enemy when you can see them, really. when his sight is good, he's a sharpshooting marksman. when his sight is bad, he's still good... against an unmoving target. an archery range is one thing, but not being able to feel the air move around someone and use that to aim is another.
eventually, he does make his way over, reaching for a baihu crossbow himself and picking it up. just being able to play pretend with it is. again. annoying. but that's fine. it's fine! ]
That one's powered by the same thing the armor is. That's what the gold box is - you can use it as explosives. They're usually giant ballasts mounted on ships, but the smaller versions are effective, too. [ gu yun turns the bow in his hands towards one of the targets. ] Except the supply of ziliujin is getting so low that it's pointless to have too many of them, so it's just a waste by the Ling Shu institute, at this point. Engineers just want to tinker with things for no good reason.
[ grumble...
he loads up a shot, nocks the arrow, and pulls it back, then exhales -- firing it upwards instead of directly at a target. the arrow's fast and makes a white arc of steam as it goes up and then rockets back down towards one of the targets, embedding itself deep into the padding.

[Just watching him fiddling with the stuff, going back to digging around in the various trinkets and toys laying around.]
Seems a bit cramped for me, honestly. Maybe later.

I know how to fire a shot, but I wouldn't say it's my specialty. Use swords, mostly.

Did you just make the Takeru noise? Tch!

[ as he's loading up and pulling back on the bow - and this time, the second one goes slightly to the right. ]
Tch.
