Molly reaches into his coat, pulls out his deck of cards and pulls three off the top. Observing them for a second, nodding, and then putting them face up on the table between the two of them.
- A somewhat feminine shape, with the head of a raven, heavily cloaked in inky black feathers sits on a throne. - A tall, strong woman, facing off into the distance - long hair fading from dark to stark white. Lightning cracks across the storm cloud sky, but she’s standing in a field of wild flowers. - A serpent, forked tongue - scales almost a shifting color in iridescent ink, winding around itself in tortured coils.]
[he's so easily awed by anything he hasn't seen before. he actually seems like he's thinking really hard on it? he looks over the three cards, then back up to molly's face like it'll give him a hint, and then back down over the cards. he reaches out to one (the serpent) - pulls his hand back.
he reaches out to the feminine raven........ and pulls his hand back!
and then suddenly reaches back out to the serpent and picks it up!]
[Molly doesn’t visibly react beyond just being fucking thrilled at this whole face journey Mineo is going on. Picking a snake card, huh?]

[But, can’t take it back! The other two cards are instantly swept off the table in case he tries to change his mind. Making a humming noise while he thinks, like he’s trying to formulate something in his head. Then back to it.]

A few years ago, I woke up - head shaved, no tattoos, no memories - in an unmarked grave in the wilderness. Luckily I happened to wander into a traveling carnival troupe, who didn’t seem to mind their new friend could only say the word empty and was covered in markings of red eyes and scars. I wasn’t the strangest creature they’d come across along the road in all their travels. They gave me a name. They gave me a splendid coat. They taught me how to speak again, how to read the cards, how to ride into a town, set up the tent, rouse the crowd and drink for free and then leave before the glances turned to glares.
[and - honestly, mineo does look enthralled? he's just softly amazed, a little worried and awed. he instantly feels bonded to this traveling troupe that picked up molly, and just softly goes]
