[ reaching over to brush hair off of his head for him. ]
You know, Claude was so scared to tell anyone last week because he thought we'd send him right to the execution chamber for it. I said, actually, it's extremely unsuspicious you got buried. Why would anyone do that. What would it even mean.
Hey, the suspicious papercut had a bad smell to it. We aren't always so terrible. And I only got that guy voted for in my last game because he threatened to drill a hole in my damn head because my face was too pretty!
...I have no idea how to respond to most of that, but like, are you okay? Nobody drilled anything in anybody's head, right?
[help
anyways he's moving on after a second.]
Yeah, and then I had a really weird dream, but... Not the kind I had the first week we were here. It was about something from back home. Do you remember if he mentioned anything about that?
...Yes, I get it, and I definitely don't know how I could have interpreted that in any other way so I'm going to let that part go, but - jeez! That's horrible! Was he one of the people you were talking about who killed people?
[he said not during the game, but there are non-drill ways to kill people, so. anyways. he pauses for a second, making a face, before he answers.]
Just - seeing people I used to know. I'm thinking it was just to mess with me, I don't know how it could have anything to do with what happened to Alphinaud.
Yeah, well, definitely try to never test that theory!
[molly your head! he pauses for a second, though, trying to decide on a vague enough way to describe it.]
Well... I was in a forest, and I kept hearing this voice tell me to run, but I felt like I was imagining it. Like I had to keep calm because someone was waiting for me. Then I got... attacked by people I recognized, people who are gone. But it kind of just kept happening over again? They'd attack me and I'd wake up at the start of the forest again when it was over, and it just went on.
[he nods, though, as he continues after taking in a breath.]
Pretty much everything about it meant something to me, yeah. That's why I'm guessing it was just to mess with me instead of some kind of clue about what happened to Alphinaud.
Well. For what it's worth, I'm glad you told me. And I'm sorry it happened. It isn't as if I'd relish the idea of being shoved in a grave and being shown a vision specifically to torment me and then have to lay it out to everyone nosy busybody who asked.
Well, I'm not sure if it was the exact same thing, but has Beau always been able to punch the truth out of people? Definitely an interesting ability. Not that I'd call her a nosy busybody.
Hah, no. She got that one after I-- Well she had it when I came back. And she is definitely, one hundred percent, a nosy busybody. It is actually her job to be a nosy busy body. You know she's a spy of sorts, right?

Yeah, so I guess that's going to be, like. A fun weekly thing that happens and not just an unfortunate one off...?
[exhausting]

[he carefully pulls the eyepatch away from his face and a little bit of silt falls out.]
Hopefully it was a limited thing this time around.

[ what ]
Yeah. You get bonked on the back of the head?

[ help ]
I think maybe. I don't know the details about it. What was yours?
no subject
[he said not during the game, but there are non-drill ways to kill people, so. anyways. he pauses for a second, making a face, before he answers.]
Just - seeing people I used to know. I'm thinking it was just to mess with me, I don't know how it could have anything to do with what happened to Alphinaud.

[ Oh hm. ]
Anything specific though?
no subject
[he pauses for a second, thinking.]
It was pretty specific, but - it's kind of a long story, and I don't think it's really relevant to what happened. I can tell you if you want, though.
no subject
[ stop ]
Only if you want to. I won't pry if it's something you'd rather keep to yourself, just curious is all.

[ lmao! lol! ]
Huh. That mean anything to you, outside of this place? Forest and all?

[he nods, though, as he continues after taking in a breath.]

That feels very specific.

You ever heard of a spell called Zone of Truth?
no subject
[he'll just conveniently not specify where.]
no subject
[ god. ]
Wasn't the greatest experience of my life.

Right - rooting out corruption, she said? Is that the same thing as being a nosy busybody? I thought it sounded pretty cool.
no subject
[ this is so mean. she isn't even here. ]
no subject
Harsh! I only got to know her for a few weeks, so you definitely know her better, but she seemed pretty cool to me.
