Molly stops in the middle of whatever he was doing - seems like digging through the tarot deck that had been laying out - and looks up.]

These ones? Not particularly.

[Only some of them. For example, the moon card is laying face up on the table in front of him.

He stops to dig into his pocket and holds up an entirely different, second deck though.]

These, on the other hand, I am very familiar with.

[ law will just silently watch them and hum softly. he isn't familiar with them or, uh, notices much of a difference honestly but there is one instance that he can remember seeing something vaguely familiar.

give him a second to, uh, try to respond to this. maybe. molly had a very bad weekend so he's not about to make it worse if nothing but out of a mutual respect that it's going to be a long time for all of them here. ]

It can be a little strange with some of the lingo used.

Lingo I can pick up. Very quick study there-- but.

[He takes them back and puts them into his deck, fanning them out briefly to check they're all still there.]

Not a very good reader, no. Haven't the time. Didn't pick it up much, in between learning and speak and everything else.

Are you practicing on your own here or...is there someone helping you?

[ not that it matters to law but he's curious. you know, since he was a kid who was given advance text to read and understand at an early age. ]

Lust was helping a bit. Then, of course, things around me starting happening at an incredibly unsettling rate and I haven't had the down time to sit back and study my letters exactly.

[He doesn't seem to mind the questions so much, as law is actually being quite polite about it.]

I can muddle through enough. And I suppose you could read me things, if you like.
