And we're getting those from...? Sorry, but you're gonna have to take a trade.
[he will take any excuse to sit down, god, he hates walking on this SAND!! flopping down with very exhausted-vacationer energy.]
I'll admit, I'm a little curious what they'd say when I'm not the one holding the cards!

Don't check in with them often, but I'd say I dabble.
[it's been a while since he didn't rig a reading, anyway, so it'll be interesting.]
Seeing as we don't have much on hand here... I'd say I know most stories that exist on Earthbread, for one. Other forms of entertainment subject to availability! ...Annnd occasionally subject to an adjustment period, depending. Still getting used to the hands.

Let's see... hm! Perhaps the Moonflower Queen?
[he settles in, taking a second to loosen the collar of his outfit; it's warm out here and his clown fits are Not made to live like this, especially when he's the type of guy who narrates with his hands. however, i shall simply die if i try to keep on top of THAT in this tag.]
A rumor once reached the ears of the proud King of Faeries: on bright nights, when its petals were bathed in moonlight, the Moonflower Queen would blossom from a great lily bud. But alas, none had ever seen this rumored royal, for the lily's enchanting scent would lull all but the most willful seekers into a deep sleep before her flower ever bloomed.
The King, desiring her to grant a wish, set out to seek the Queen on a moonlit night. In a quiet grove he found the lily, and steeled his resolve as he took in its scent, lest it put him to sleep before he could ever meet this mysterious faerie. He took one step forward after another... and another, against the haze of the lily perfume clouding the grove. Another, barely on his feet, clinging desperately to the thought of his dearest wish-- when to his great relief, he saw the lily petals begin to part.
[he takes a second there, just letting the sound of the cards fill the space briefly.]
Ah, but the poor, proud King let his guard down-- or perhaps he simply didn't have it in him to resist. So enchanted was he that he fell to his knees before her as she bid him, "Tell me the wish that brought you here."
[and swapping voices:]
"My Queen," he implored her, "your visage haunts my dreams. My dreams, my soul, my world hold no meaning without you! I came to you to pledge my love eternal. Let me dwell forever by your side."
But it was not to be. "You must be dreaming still," she told the King, and he couldn't hope to tell whether it was a dewdrop or teardrop that fell down her cheek. "Dance with me now, but let us part when dawn breaks; the lily scent will lead your heart astray."
So he danced with her, forgetting the passing of time, the inevitable rising of the sun... and after he woke alone, coated in dew, who could say whether it was all a memory or a dream? Who could ever know what wish had gone forgotten...? The Faerie King kept the groves filled with lilies from that day onward, though, captivated by their familiar scent.
[was this necessary, no, but does this explain his taste in stories. yes.]

I suppose you never know who out there needs a good cautionary tale about falling madly in love at first sight! Never works out how they think it will.
[and never stops being entertaining in the process, especially if they do some stupid stuff for love.]

You don't immediately strike me as the type, no, but occasionally people manage to surprise me.

Well, nothing sounds bad at all about that!
["this is good right?" asks man looking at card with hot air balloon hitting a powerline-- no, he just has to be this way.]
But you're the one doing the analyzing here, not me. Hit me with it.

[ah the time honored tradition of the weekend `void`. shadow milk is hanging out somewhere to get the hell away from all these people... he is something of an overstimulated cat at the moment, and he'd really rather not go back to the lounge yet. so! spending some time vibing instead. the eye markings in his hair are all closed, even.
well, at least at first. they blink wide open all at once as he notices he's not alone.]
What a day, huh? Kind of a shame she left the ending of it so... dull.

Not likely, from the looks of it! I get leaving everyone in suspense until the climax, buuut then she ended up whiffing it. No sense of showmanship.

Planning on it! I doubt some of us are leaving her alone for a while, though.

Either something happens, orrrr figuring out what to do about her becomes our problem-- which becomes a partial repeat of today.
Neither of those are going to make anyone less mopey about it either!
Neither of those are going to make anyone less mopey about it either!
Right, right, the sudden introduction of the idea that any of us could have this happen, the surprise killer teammate reveal for the oranges, my team going down by one... I'd appreciate the dramatic elimination twist more if it weren't for that!
Eh, it's early enough that we'll make up for this just fine. But it is annoying!
[like. really? the only lime who can cook?]

he's back and forth between looking at clothes (finding new clown-ass fits) and checking out the stalls, this can be either of those.]
Working on those plans already?
[there aren't words currently visible on him, but it is assuredly not because this cookie lacks in sins... it's just that the effect manifests right now as a marking instead. the one that's always over his right eye is duplicated on his forehead.]
